RUTABAGA
CULTURE: Prefers cool temperatures. Best grown in early spring or late fall. In finely tilled soil, sow seeds 1/4" deep, 2-3" apart in
a row or band. Seeds germinate in about 1-2 weeks. After emerge, thin to a 6-8" spacing. HARVEST; After several hard freezes,
remove roots from ground and cut off tops. Use fresh like turnips or clean, wax and store like potatoes for later use.

AMERICAN PURPLE TOP 90 days. Smooth, globular roots are 5-6" across, show purplish color above ground and a yellowish color below. Flesh is creamy yellow with a fine texture. Tastes like a turnip only sweeter. Untreated seeds.
