PLANTING: After soil has warmed up to 65F, you can till soil for broomcorn. Enrich soil with compost or fertilizer. Place seeds 1″
deep, 2-3″ apart in a row spacing of 30-36″. HARVEST: After seed head has formed and seeds are hard, cut off head. Leave a long stem on them to hang them upside down in a dry, cool place to finish drying. Remove seeds before making a broom. Heads may also be used in fall decorations. Seeds also make an excellent bird food. 120 days.
